Eagle Scout projects
As I have been thinking about how to better get the word out about OLAAT and find donations, I keep thinking about how Eagle scout projects could be used. I think that using Eagle projects to have the boys collect donations and items from ward and community members would be awesome.
Thought of the day
"There is an interdependence between those who have and those who have not. The process of giving exalts the poor and humbles the rich. In the process, both are sanctified.”

Supply Chain
OLAAT is looking for more donations, and with more donations, espcially donations of things (clothes, computers, equipment etc.) there are going to be some problems to iron out with shipping those things to Central America.
As of yesterday a team of BYU-Idaho senior supply chain students has agreed to help OLAAT find a good company to ship their donations and figure out the logisitics of all the shipping and receiving. A big thanks goes out to them for agreeing to help and good luck as they jump on board.

December Graduation
We just had another wonderful graduation in December. Craig Shelley went to visit and be a speaker during the graduation ceremonies. We are looking forward to hearing what the next step for all of the graduates is and where the road ahead will take them. Pictures will be coming shortly.

Welcome
One Life at a Time is a non-profit organization that focuses on educating disadvantaged citizens of third-world countires, especially focusing currently in Central America. Helping people is much more than sending handouts that actually end up hurting more than helping in the long-run. There are few non-profit organizations that truly focusing on helping the masses by teaching them to help themselves. Our vision encompasses a program where students, that generally earn less than $3 a day, and usually don't have a high school education, can come to a school without tuition costs and earn a practical education. The graduates of the schools run by One Life at a Time have exceptional skills and a high job placement/internship placement rate (around 80%). See how you can help this inspired program lift young men and women out of poverty and offer them esperanza...hope.
